Eugene S. Stevens is a Professor of Chemistry at the State University of New York at Binghamton, and is the author of the Green Plastics book. He has conducted research on polymers for more than thirty years and has published more that one hundred papers dealing with the conformational behavior of biomolecules, a topic he has explored through chiroptic methods.

Eugene is also the father of Greg Stevens.
