Product SummaryNaturellySeda is a new range of recyclable, biodegradable and compostable containers, by Seda. They are the result of the group's ongoing environmental efforts and their constant search for low environmental impact packaging materials, technologies and solutions. The line includes glasses for cold drinks and single and double-walled cups for hot drinks, as well as containers and lids for ice cream and yoghurt, made in paper and a type of Mater-Bi containing raw materials from vegetable oils. The NaturellySeda line is not only made with sustainable raw materials, it uses efficient manufacturing cycles to reduce environmental impact. NaturellySeda products can be recycled and also composted after use. The NaturellySeda range also complies with the upcoming EU regulatory framework regarding reduction of packaging requiring landfill disposal. It is also an effective response to growing consumer demand for products with eco-friendly packaging. Furthermore Mater-Bi®, the bioplastic developed by Novamont, is biodegradable and compostable in accordance with European standards EN 13432 and UNI EN 14995, and ensures performance very similar to traditional plastics, although it contains renewable raw materials of agricultural origin. It lowers emissions of greenhouse gasses, reduces the consumption of energy and non-renewable resources, thus completing a virtuous cycle: raw materials of agricultural origin are returned to the soil via a process of biodegradationand composting without the release of pollutants.
