Greenplastics.com is your introductory information source about the new science of environmentally-friendly plastics. The target audience for this website is students, entrepreneurs, scientists and professionals outside the field, and others who are looking for a good basic introduction to this exciting area of research and innovation.

Greenplastics.com was originally created in 2004 as the online complement to the book Green Plastics by E.S. Stevens. Owned and operated by E.S. Stevens, the website was a static information source with articles that mirrored some of the content from the book, and provided some links to other related websites.

In 2007, Greenplastics.com was bought by Greg Stevens Holdings, LLC, managed by Greg Stevens, in order to expand the scope and presence of the GreenPlastics project. Since 2007, content on the site has been a collaborative effort among a small but growing set of recruited authors, advisors, and experts in the field. As always, the goal of the site is to provide good, accessible introductory information about the science of bioplastics to the general public.
